Shorebirds and Seabirds on and off the Port Stephens coastline SOLD OUT

August 4 @ 1:30 pm 5:00 pm

Join us for our second Annual Bird Forum. In August 2023, we brought you Woodland Birds and this year it’s the tern of the seabirds, shorebirds and other wetlands species!

We are pleased to confirm these fabulous speakers and fascinating topics :

  • Ecology and Recovery of the Gould’s Petrel – Australia’s Rarest Endemic Seabird. Dr Yuna Kim.
  • Pelagic surveys off the Port Stephens Coast – Mick Roderick.
  • Migration, shorebirds and the Port Stephens Connection – Neil Fraser, Hunter Bird Observers Club.
  • Our charismatic coastal birds – a photographic experience by Mat Spillard, nature photographer.

Our Forum will help you:

  • improve your knowledge and understanding of birds and their habitats
  • find out about the endangered Gould’s Petrel
  • participate in future bird watching and projects in Port Stephens
  • relax and enjoy your time in nature
  • have a laugh with Mat!
