Tomaree Spring Wildflower Walks

September 12, 2023 @ 1:30 pm 3:30 pm

Enjoy a short wildflower walk in Tomaree National Park

It’s a wonderland of winter and early spring wildflowers, especially along its sandy heathy woodlands.

  • Saturday 9 September 1.30 pm
  • Tuesday 12 September 9.00 am
  • Tuesday 12 September 1.30 pm

Each walk is a slow and easy circuit on gently undulating sandy tracks, shade is variable.

The walk is 1.5 – 2hrs, over 2.6 km, Grade 2.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL: More information and bookings at https://events.humanitix.com/tomaree-wildflowers2023
Numbers are limited for each walk as tracks are narrow.

Participants will be advised of the meeting place and what to bring closer to the walk dates.
The walk most likely is in the Fingal area.

The National Parks Association (Hunter Region) is leading the walks, through its local groups the Friends of Tomaree National Park and the Port Stephens Walking Group, in recognition of EcoNetwork Port Stephens 30th Anniversary.

We acknowledge we live, meet and work on the lands of the Worimi People. We pay respect to Elders, past, present and future, and acknowledge the pivotal role of First Nations People within the Australian community.
