Clean&Cruise with Local Land Services and Clean4Shore
September 28 @ 8:45 am – 12:30 pm
Join Local Land Services and Clean4Shore to continue removing marine debris from the Hunter River catchment.
- Reduce harm to marine life – and humans – by removing plastic waste from the environment and avoid the creation of new microplastics in our waterways!
- Support the actions in the Hunter Coastal Zone Management Plan and Australian Marine Debris Initiative (ADMI).
- Take the opportunity to explore hard-to-get-to places of the Hunter tidal flats.
Everyone 18+ is welcome – however, you must be able to swim. Ages 16-17 are welcome under the supervision of a parent/carer/guardian.
If you are part of a school, Landcare, community, sports, or business group that would like to get involved in helping to clean up areas in Newcastle, Port Stephens, or Lake Macquarie, get in touch with Jono from Clean4Shore firstname.lastname@example.org to organise a date that suits.
