May 7 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Travelling Electric: owning and operating electric vehicles.
A half day event featuring talks, displays and an opportunity to get a close look at some electric vehicles and speak to their owners. Not just the 4 wheel versions but other e-mobility options such as bikes. We will also have the latest electrifying news from Port Stephens, the Hunter region and beyond.
Main Presentation starting at 2pm:
‘An Owner’s Perspective on Electric Vehicles’ by Les Pinney, Member of Renew Hunter Region Branch committee, The Habitat Tilligerry and EcoNetwork Port Stephens.
Les will outline the different types of electric vehicles (HEV, PHEV, BEV, FCEV), go through some practical considerations of owning an EV such as charging, running costs and batteries as well as a look at what the future of EV’s might look like.
This will be followed by a Q&A with the audience and a panel of EV owners. After some refreshments, we will head out to the car parking area to inspect vehicles and chat to their owners.
Local group displays include Renew Hunter Region Branch, Tilligerry Habitat (plant sale), EcoNetwork, Climate Action Port Stephens and Raymond Terrace Boomerang Bags.
This is a free event but places are limited so please RSVP ASAP or email us to be added to Renew’s mailing list.
