In Stream Convergence: Poetry and Science in Response to Art

Explore the Hunter River with the Maitland Regional Art Gallery

August 15 @ 4:00 pm 7:00 pm

In response to the Upriver Downriver exhibition, join host Jo Lynch, ecologist Mick Roderick and Maitland City Council’s Sustainability team as they showcase the Hunter River through experiments and experiences.

Attendees walk from the Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) to the banks of the Hunter River, hear River poetry, an educational talk, participate in testing River water health, then back at MRAG immerse themselves in a variety of poems, view a live demonstration, experience water quality impacts of day to day activities and explore the exhibition in depth.

The event runs from 4-6 pm, with the gallery open until 7pm for everyone to explore the entire exhibition. This event is free.
