Sustainable Living Festival

Sustainable Living Festival

Sat 18 May, Medowie Community Centre & Lions Park

Thanks to all the members and affiliates who contributed to making the 2024 Sustainable Living Festival such a great day. We appreciate all those people who braved the weather to attend the wonderful event at Medowie.

We would like to thank our generous sponsors Hunter Water, Port Stephens Council and Hunter Region LandCare Network for making this event possible.

A massive shout out to the fabulous organisations that donated prizes including Oakvale Wildlife Park, Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters, Hunter Region Botanic Gardens, Readers Retreat, Balloon Aloft, Wallum Art Space and Mathew Spillard.

It was wonderful to have MP Kate Washington, representatives from Wirreanda Public School, Deputy Mayor Leah Anderson and councillor Jason Wells involved in the opening ceremony. We are grateful to Roz Armstrong for doing such a fantastic job as the true Master of Ceremonies!

And the event would not have been possible without a tremendous amount of work from Lauren and Lewis from Homegrown Markets – We appreciate everything they did to make this day as wonderful as we had envisaged.

The evaluation report will be released in the coming months – Watch this space.

Here is a selection of Henk Tobbe’s photographs from the day. Thanks Henk!
