A presentation on the ancient and recent geology of the Port Stephens area.
As part of National Science Week, the Hunter Valley branch of the Geological Society of Australia is thrilled to host local geologist Neil Fraser who will unravel the fascinating history of the region’s landforms, shaped by ancient volcanic forces and changing sea levels.
He will also share highlights from his years-long project: the first detailed geological map of Broughton Island. Expect an engaging session, complete with rock specimens for you to see up close.
