Walk ‘n’ Talk with the Birds of Salamander Wetlands

October 16, 2023 @ 8:00 am 10:30 am

Sorry – Fully Booked…

To celebrate Birdlife’s Aussie Bird Count’s 10th year, join Salamander resident Graeme Stevens from the Hunter Bird Observer’s Club on a special walk’n’talk through his ‘backyard’. Graeme is the co-author of ‘Salamander Waters Estate: biodiversity of a highly modified environment’ published in The Whistler Volume 18, 2023. He will give us a brief overview of his research paper.

Graham will guide us through the wetland area and point out the diversity of woodland and wetland birds we are hopeful to spot. Places limited so bookings are essential. Register below.

Or perhaps you’d prefer to sit on your deck and count the birds in your own backyard, why not do it during Aussie Bird Count Week 16-22 October? Don’t worry if what you see is regarded as a common species – they all count! Register here.

Do you have a favourite bird? Birdlife Australia, in conjunction with The Guardian, are running the annual Bird of the Year poll until 6 October. Vote for your fave bird here
